Moonj Products (Amethi)
A naturally growing perennial grass, known as Sarpat in the local dialect, is found in the lowlands of the district. Locals are engaged in making various types of decorative and household products from moonj such as foot-mats, carry bags, stools, ropes, pen stands, chairs, tables, etc. The craftsmen make these products without using any advanced equipment.
